2013

Articles of clothing dating back to 1998 have been tucked away, never to be worn again. Each article in this series has avoided a donation drop box because of a memory I associate with it. In order to record these memories while giving up the title of a packrat, I create photographs of myself wearing these clothes. Afterwards, I remove the original tags/labels from the clothing and relabel them with a silkscreened tag I created. The resulting installation is a storefront of the cataloged items, relabeled and resold in exchange for a memory from the audience.
